Extension – Abingdon
Extension to large 3 bed detached bungalow in North Abingdon, duration 16 weeks. Extension upwards and outwards to provide 4 bedrooms upstairs and change in layout downstairs. One constraint of the project was to extend but remain within the permitted volume increase permitted by greenbelt planning restrictions. The property was reduced to 3 external walls and rebuilt. The roof was designed to provide maximum usable space and minimise areas lost in eves. The project included new insulated floors, complete rewire, new gas central heating system, underfloor heating, kitchen, bathrooms, external works and prefab garage removed and rebuilt.
Two storey side extension to large detached property in Abingdon to create kitchen diner and utility on the ground floor and additional bedroom and main bathroom on the first floor. Brick matching was not possible as no longer in production. Included alterations and installation of structural steel to create open plan areas. New electrical installation and adaptions to existing. New heating and plumbing to serve new areas and boiler relocation. New bathroom installation, plastering, tiling and decorations
Garage conversion to semidetached property. Duration 8 weeks. The garage was large and able to allow for new living room, utility and downstairs wc. The work included new insulated floors and walls, groundwork and drainage, wiring and plumbing to suit new layout. The front was a painted render finish to match other properties nearby.
Two story house extension to side of three bed semidetached house in Cholsey. The extension was to provide a garage/workshop, utility and downstairs wc with additional bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The project involved new plumbing and electrics to suit new lighting and power.
Extension & Refurbishment – North Oxford
Single storey rear extension and refurbishment to mid terrace property in Oxford including removal of chimneys and structural alterations to open plan areas and remodelling. Complete refurbishment including rewire of electrical installation and new central heating, boiler relocation and new bathroom. Complete strip out of lathes and plaster with newly plastered walls and carpentry throughout.
Loft Conversion – South Oxford
Loft conversion to provide new bedroom with ensuite bathroom to three bed semidetached house in Oxford. ‘Hip to gable’ conversion involving removal of existing roof structure, installation of new structural steel, roof, brick gable, floor and staircase. New insulated roof, walls and floor, electrical and plumbing installation to suit new layout. New fire doors installed through property to comply with building regulations, plastering and decoration.
Extension in Abingdon
Large two storey extension to the rear of a 4 bed detached house in south Abingdon. Duration 14 weeks. Extension to provide a spacious kitchen and dining area plus an additional lounge. Also to enlarge two bedrooms upstairs and provide and ensuit in one. Roof was designed to incorporate two pitched roofs to the bedrooms and a flat roof with roof lights to allow natural light into the extended ground floor. The project also included new fitted kitchen, underfloor heating, plumbing and electrics to suit throughout, tiling and decoration.
